Today my daughter tells me mum you just don't love me i am the unluckiest person on earth (she is only 5 years by the way, just turned 5 in August), surprised and looking hurt and indignant I say in a high pitched squeal, "WHHYYYYY?"
"why would you say that Sarrah?"
"then why don't you have a party to celebrate my five and a half year birthday, and you didn't even celebrate my 3.5year, 4.5year birthday..."
"anything else we missed", I say. Did we miss the memo, since, when did kids start celebrating their half birthdays???
And all this after we have had a huge 5th birthday with over 90 guests!
